Influencer Marketing

Being passionate about influencer marketing is something I never expected. My organization and process-building skills built a service and that service was highlighted through the “Influencer Marketing for Destinations” podcast that ended up winning awards. It has been a wild ride!

From the Beginning:
Itinerary and Contract Building

Relic started working with influencers for the first time in fall 2018. I rolled my sleeves up and got to work creating and building a process for how we could accomplish something successful for our destination clients. I built a detailed itinerary which would be called “the golden standard” on the podcast later. I worked with our company lawyer to build a contract.

Establishing a Process

An itinerary and contract alone don’t make a product/service. I needed to build a process that created a good client and partner relationship. I started taking certification courses to learn about how to negotiate and structure campaigns with influencers. I structured to process you see on the left with accompanying templates for each step so when the process was delegated to team members each person could produce consistent deliverables.

Co-hosting an Award-winning Podcast to Share

CEO Adam Stoker suggested I co-host a podcast with an influencer so we could both communicate our knowledge with the both destination marketers (my side) and influencers (my co-host’s side) and create a more understanding approach to destination partnerships. It won two awards and was listed eight on a top 15 podcasts for influencer marketing by Feedspot.

Software Vetting

This whole process was built with a zero-budget approach and done manually. When it came time to vet software, I demo-ed and vetted over 15 softwares over two years. I built business cases and proposed two choices to the executive team.
